I hope it isn't apparent, but the relationship between Jerome and Lark follows the classic romance formula, the first stage being them driving each other off the walls! They won't be doing much with Norm and Cory in this chapter- their story will be separate. The odd couple indeed. Mind you, Lark doesn't really "reside" in his house- she just lives with him and Norm and Cory in general.

I didn't originally want Norm to be a complainer, because I thought it would overshadow the character trait I wanted to show- his proper English manners and his knowledge. Plus, I originally wanted him to have infinite patience, which would make him the ideal sage. But I think it goes with the character. It's sort of like John Cleese's role in Faulty Towers, toned down a few notches.

Ur characters are all awesome and well develpoed even in a span of a few pages. I wish I had such character focusing skills
